• SCOPE CLARITY :
  1. Gantry Girders : Check if the supporting structure like gantry girders, rails have been Ordered and are in whose scope.
  2. Transportation
  3. Unloading, storage and security
  4. Movement from storage to the installation site
  5. Installation and commissioning
  6. Load testing
  7. If any third party or competent person is required for load testing and who will arrange
  8. Arrangement of Loads for load testing
  9. Arrangement of Slings for the load testing

• SITE ROUTE SURVEY :

Site route survey is important because EOT Cranes are normally ODC consignments and transportation usually because a tedious task. It is beneficial to survey the route for the approach till the installation site. In case required please do inform Crane supplier to consider splicing in the crane girder if the transportation limits are lesser.

• SELECTION OF THE VENDOR

Ensure that the vendor has understood the crane requirements technically. As the crane is a customized product it is important to ensure that the crane vendor has understood the specification and the requirements. If required please do ask some of the major technical points confirmations

• LEAD TIME and DELIVERY

Lead time and delivery is essence for any project completion on time. It is important for the project in charge to ensure that the vendor is capable enough to meet the delivery schedules, may plan to visit the works and see the past performances in terms of the deliveries made. Simply applying LD on the vendor will not justify the delays in the project.

• MANUFACTURER EVALUATION

Always look for a reputable Trusted supplier for your project. Check the infrastructure which the manufacturer has, check the manpower and the engineering capabilities which the manufacturer has. Check and evaluate the service complaints team and how fast they can resolve the complaints
