What is True Vertical Lift
True Vertical Lift as the name suggests is when the lifted load does not traverse horizontally while only lifting motion is in action.
True Vertical Lift is also known as “center lift” it is achieved by 2 leads mechanism of reeving of wire ropes i.e in this case there are 2 ropes coming out of the wire rope drum.
The drum has left and right hand grooves. The two ends of the rope are wound and reeved through the equalising and bottom block pulleys and anchored onto the Drum.
This type of arrangement is typically suited for capacities more than 10t. Or where the applications demands like in case of cage lifts. We also offer such arrangement in all our Double Girder Cranes to have both the girders equally loaded.
Advantages of True Vertical Lift :
Disadvantages of True Vertical Lift arrangement:
Reva Way Out
Certainly True Lift has many advantages over its counterpart. However Reva has worked out a solution to it in its standard range of Hoists.
We are providing wire rope drums with bigger diameters which means that for the same height of lift our drums will be bigger in diameter but shorter in length.
By the above the horizontal motion travelled by the hook (load) also decreases appreciably and hence we are able to achieve near to True Vertical Lift, at a much lesser cost.
